Riding FAQ

GENERAL DAY CAMP

Campers 7 & up will receive one group riding lesson per week. One trail ride per week is available to those campers who exhibit adequate control of their horse during their lesson. This is for the safety of the rider and is up to the discretion or the riding instructors. Campers who are 6 years old or younger participate in 1 lead line lesson per week. In the afternoon, horse care classes are optional for all campers. Any camper (7 & up) may sign up for the horse show; but due to rider safety the ultimate discretion is up to the riding instructors. Additional rides may be purchased for all ages at $25 per ride.

EQUESTRIAN DAY CAMP

NOTE: We strive for campers participating in the Equestrian Program to ride at least one time a day but riding time varies due to enrollment. Equestrian campers spend more time in the barn area, caring for our horses and learning more about them. Our goal in the Equestrian program is to offer a holistic horse program where campers can learn about all aspects of horsemanship.
